It all started in a chatroom.
We talked on the phone.
We met in a motel.
You left me hanging.
I didn't like you no more.
You called me back.
I liked you again.
For months we talked.
Then you were a jerk to me on the phone.
You sent me an offliner to make sure everything was ok.
I replied yes.
We didn't talk for about two months.
Then you invited me down to see you again.
Once again you left me hanging.
You're a liar.

Love is something we all want and need in our lives yet

We do so many things to push it away or destroy it

Some of us don't know the difference between love and sex

Others think love is a material thing we can buy in a store

Worse are the ones who claim they don't need love at all

Men do want and need love but they feel weak by admitting it

Women use sex in place of love so much it they get confused

Deceit is used by many to attain love but it only mangles it

Force can never be used to get love it creates fear and hate

Manipulation for love is the fastest for love to be killed in anyone

Hiding your true self will make love just a passing thought

Living in the past will only keep love from ever coming to you

Never sharing yourself will leave with no love just you alone




Finding love is hard but it can be done if you are open to it

But keeping is even harder you see once you find it

It must be nurtured with truth understanding and kindness

You give openly no strings attached or demands at all

Truth must always be in every word you speak

Your actions must demonstrate your love as well

Ears must always be ready to hear your loved one

Arms ready to hold loved one just for comfort

Be willing to have your loved one's back at all times

Understand that every day will not be perfect and still love

Know that a disagreement will occur talk it out calmly

Respect each other thoughts and needs at all times

Allow that you are both different and understand that

Forgive mistakes because you are not perfect either


Love should put a smile on a face that won't come off

Love should make a bad day better no matter what happened

Love should hear your pain and sooth the pain

Love should dry your tears as they fall from your eyes

Love should should hold you when fears take over

Love should be there when there is nothing else left

Love should wake your heart soul and mind everyday
